ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Prince Sultan College of Business PS-COB is committed to providing its students with an ideal academic platform to study and prepare for the academic program – the University Preparatory Program. All classes and lectures are conducted in English, with the exceptions of Islamic Studies and Arabic language. In order to improve English language proficiency among students, PS-COB established the University Preparatory Program (UPP) in 2015. The program places students in the appropriate language levels according to internationally applied standards of TOEFL, TWE and Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT). Further on, to keep studies relevant to the courses in the Prince Sultan College of Business, the UPP curriculum is designed to facilitate students to confidently and effectively pursue their undergraduate studies.
The UPP program is delivered in six modules. Each module lasts eight academic weeks at the rate of 25 hours per week, ranging from Beginner (PENG001) to Advanced (PENG006).
Prince Sultan College offers bachelor degrees in five academic majors as follow:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resources Specialization)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance Specialization)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing Specialization)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting Specialization)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Project Management Specialization)
These programs have been carefully designed and developed by experts in the fields of management with a view to serving the needs of the citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia and the region as well as the employment needs of their businesses and government. These programs focus on both the professional and academic aspects of business according to modern concepts and applications of business and management. In addition, they have been developed to be student centered, as students have the choice to design their plan of study under the supervision of a faculty advisor.
PS-COB is dedicated to broadening students’ knowledge in their chosen specialization and to providing them with the necessary professional and academic skills. The programs are structured to develop the personal communication skills which are essential for a successful future in the public and private sectors. Additionally, students receive a sound training in the practical aspects of their chosen profession, both in-college and in-field training in respected public and private organizations.
The primary objective of the program is to provide graduate students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a world-class MBA education.
MBA classes are held in the evenings and are available for both men and women. The typical candidate profiles for the program include the following:
- Working professionals who would like to improve their general business knowledge and develop collaborative business networks.
- Individuals aiming to enhance their careers and develop their leadership potential and abilities.
- Men and women who are planning to transition from their current positions into general management roles.
- Entrepreneurs who are keen to start new businesses or further develop and grow existing companies.
- Men and women in the early stages of their careers who would like to improve their knowledge of business and management disciplines and enhance their future career prospects.
